Gabion Mattress, or Reno mattress, revet mattress, is similar to a gabion in both structure and application. The difference is that, a revet mattress has relatively small height in relation to other dimensions, having smaller mesh openings than the mesh used for gabions; revet mat-tresses are generally used for riverbank protection and channel linings.
Gabion Box VS Reno Mattress:
Reno Mattress (Height less than 0.5m, e.g. 0.17m / 0.21m etc.)
Gabion Box (Height usually 0.5m / 1m , or even 1.5m)
Gabion Mattress Mesh Size:
usually 6 cm × 8 cm or 8 cm × 10 cm
Gabion Mattress Wire Thickness:
Galvanized wire: 2.0 mm - 4.0 mm.
PVC coated wire: 2.0/3.0 mm - 3.0/4.0 mm.
Orders for reno mattresses shall include the following information:

Reno Mattress are manufactured with all components mechanically connected at the production facility with the exception of the mattress lid which is produced separately from the base . This is different from Gabion box production.
All mattress are supplied in the collapsed form, either folded and bundled or rolled, for shipping.
